In 2005, Genevieve Nnaji became the first performer to win the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Her contributions to Nollywood earned her recognition in 2011, when the Nigerian government named her a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic.

Genevieve Nnaji was introduced into the growing Nigerian film industry with the movie Most Wanted in 1998. She was 19 at the time.

Since then, she has appeared in more than 200 Nollywood movies.

Nnaji has appeared in a number of advertisements, such as those for the beverage Pronto and the detergent Omo.

In 2004, she signed a highly lucrative endorsement deal to become the “Face of Lux” in Nigeria.
