Kenya is a representative democracy, and every community or region seeks to have someone represent them at the national table.
In light of these, the Gema community must rally behind Riggy G and support him as he negotiates for Mt. Kenya’s fair share of the national cake.
Yes, Uhuru Kenyatta had his time, but the truth is, he is no longer at the table where critical decisions are being made.
Whichever way you look at it, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is a better kingpin and leader than the former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Yet one of the questions that has elicited an impassioned debate is whether Riggy G fits to be the Mt. Kenya kingpin.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating, so they say.
In the past few months, the DP has demonstrated practical leadership skills, foremost as a doer as opposed to a mere talker.
Up until now, Riggy G has demonstrated his quest for not only a united Mt. Kenya but also the country at large.
The reconciliations that DP Gachagua has championed in UDA-dominated counties in Meru, Kericho, and Kiambu between the governor and the MCAs underscore his stature as a peacemaker.
Riggy G, in a recent Akorino event, explained that his quest for Mt. Kenya unity was nothing short of a bottom-up approach in ultimately realizing a united country .
Whoa! I sat back to reflect on the words of Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua, and nothing could be truer.
And it dawned on me DP Rigathi holds a Literature and Political science degree from the University of Nairobi.
What’s more, Gachagua has demonstrated his love for the Mt Kenya people in the manner in which he has combated the third-generation brews in the region.
Uhuru turned a blind eye as poison disguised as alcohol was sold to Mt Kenya youths.
What’s more, the dairy sector, the macadamia market, and the coffee market suffered a huge blow as the former president allowed unethical practices and brokers to wreck havoc on farmers.
This is in contrast with Riggy G who seems to favour a deliberate approach to restore the farmers’dignity.
Uhuru’s lackluster leadership compared to Riggy G’s practical approach underscores the latter’s better leadership qualities.

Every time Riggy G speaks, one can feel the passion and genuine love for the people as opposed to kingpins who use their communities as pawns to achieve political ends.
