A video of late former President Mwai Kibaki grandson seemingly snubbing ODM leader Raila Odinga has emerged, sparking reactions.

The former Prime Minister was part of the mourners who joined the Kibaki family for the late leader’s final farewell at Othaya Approved School.

Raila arrived at the function alongside his wife, Mama Ida Odinga, and went straight to Kibaki’s coffin, where he performed his famous ritual where he waves a black flywhisk.

He then turned to the family, greeting Kibaki’s most popular son, Jimmy Kibaki, alongside his siblings, including Judy Wanjiku.

However, when the ODM leader got to one of Kibaki’s grandsons, the young man turned away, making it obvious that he was ignoring the presidential hopeful.

The young man pulled the stunt as Raila’s bodyguard kept a keen eye on him.

The video sparked mixed reactions across social media, and below are some comments sampled on the same.

@kibondi: It is written, and it is well known, that Raila frustrated Kibaki’s government, and the first people it hurt most were his family. The wounds are still fresh and cannot be erased.

@JivahJ: Kababa generation. If I did this to anyone, be it a family friend or stranger, a world war would be declared on me, and I’d get a story to write nikipewa composition ya the day I will never forget.

@OscarOwiti: Don’t blame him, anataka msichana wa Ruto.

@Ellymogesh254: This is disrespect of the highest order. How can someone so young humiliate someone so great? Furthermore, someone older than him? Am deeply saddened by this behavior.
