Magufuli led prayers with doctors, nurses before death, family spokesperson says

Even during his last moments, departed Tanzania president John Pombe Magufuli remained a firm believer in God.

According to the family spoksperson Ngusa Samike, the departed Head of State led prayers with doctors and nurses on his last days.

Samike also revealed that Magufuli received special blessings from Cardinal Polycarp Pengo and Father Padre Alister Makubi

Chief Sheikh, Mufti Abubakar Zubeir also prayed for him before taking his last breathe.

As earlier reported by GOTTA.news, Magufuli succumbed to heart complications on Wednesday night, March 17.

In a televised address, Tanzania vice-president-cum-president Samia Suluhu Hassan announced that Magufuli was hospitalised at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute where he later died.

On Saturday, March 20 funeral rites for Magufuli began in Dar Es Salaam after his body was taken to Uhuru Stadium for public viewing.

The public viewing came moments after a funeral service held at St Peter’s Oysterbay Church.

As the body was moved to Uhuru Stadium, Tanzanians flocked the streets to pay last respect to their late president.

Magufuli’s body will remain in Dar Es Salaam until March 21 before being moved to Dodoma on March 22 for public viewing and later moved to Mwanza on March 23.

The body will later be moved to Chato District before being finally laid to rest on March 26.

President Samia earlier said that Magufuli will be laid to rest after a church service at Chato Catholic Church.
