Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday, July 13 lost his temper while addressing a crowd in a Kenya Kwanza rally in Vihiga County.
The meeting was marred by sibling rivalry after supporters allied to Alfred Angoi of ANC and Clement Sloya of UDA clashed.
The rival groups interrupted the meeting a number of times even after DP Ruto tried to calm them down multiple times.
At some point, the DP cut short his speech and engaged a youthful supporter and warned him to keep quiet or leave the meeting.
“Wewe kijana wacha kunijibu, unanijibu kama nani? Kama umeleta kisirani kwa hii mkutano utoke. Huwezi kuja hapa kuharibu mkutano,” a visibly angry DP Ruto told the heckler.

The video sparked mixed reactions from social media users as seen below.
Livingstone Kiprop: Common sense when you dont like a person why go and distrupt his function.
Stephen Junior: Ruto is a brilliant man and a Kenyan politician who can never be overlooked. However, his temperament, approach to issues, and quest for power are against him being a president of this nation. My prediction is that his tenure (should he win) would not be different from that of Museveni of Ug and Moi, combined, for the pros and cons. I admire him to certain levels, but he is not fit for a high and critical office like the presidential one. No!
KeeruH: Martha Karua in her Kirinyaga has told people to leave her meeting but you don’t mention it . Ruto is the 5th President you like it or not.
As earlier reported on GOTTA.news, DP Ruto reacted to claims that he tried to slap Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.
Speaking in a campaign trail on Tuesday, July 12, the DP denied the claims further referring the CS to a woman; possibly because of his physical appearance.
DP Ruto maintained that in their culture men do not raise their hands against women.
“I heard another guy whom I appointed a minister claiming that I wanted to slap him. I want to tell him that in our culture, men don’t slap women, you go and tell him that. We respect women,” the DP said.
DP Ruto said CS Wamalwa should instead be thanking him for securing him a ministerial position in the Jubilee government.

“And tell him to stop badmouthing, without me he would be walking around but I took him from the trenches and made him a minister, he should stop badmouthing,” the DP said.
