Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has submitted his name to be considered for nomination to the Parliament post August 9 polls.
The controversial MP submitted his name alongside others of his Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party which will see him serve either as a nominated member of the National Assembly or the Senate.
The move is in a bid to secure a soft landing for himself should he lose the quest to become Kiambu governor in the August 9 General Elections.
This is despite the law not allowing elective seat candidates to be in the list of potential nominees to Parliament or county assemblies.
The move sparked reactions from netizens who slammed the MP over the move.
Chama Cha Kazi Party Leader Moses Kuria, who is running for Kiambu Governor, has nominated himself to the National Assembly, bringing to 53,791,612 the total number of Kenyans whom scientists have discovered have no shame at all.

Elsewhere, Kuria and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa engaged in a war of words over the former’s interest to join the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
It all started after Ichung’wa insisted that Kuria was unwelcome to Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
In an interview on Friday, March 11, the lawmaker said the Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party leader was out to cause confusion in UDA and sell tickets of his outfit during primaries.
Ichung’wa asked Kuria not to have high expectations as he contemplates joining the Tanga Tanga political faction further asking him to be ready to conform with the already set rules.
“I’m not aware of any such partnership. UDA is a party that welcomes everyone and if he intends to join UDA, he is welcome but not to create confusion to vend tickets. Our people are in UDA as their party of choice,” said Ichung’wah.
In retort, Kuria said the lawmaker was seemingly irked by his move in which he refused to fold his Chama Cha Kazi party and join UDA.

“I have read the unwarranted attacks on me by my colleague Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa appearing in today’s Daily Nation with shock and dismay. Mr Ichungwa seems to have a lot of bile towards me for choosing to belong to the Chama Cha Kazi Party and not the UDA Party,” said Kuria.
