-GOTTA.news has prepared a list of 38 celebrities who we think are most popular with Kenyans in general.
-Learn more about the selection criteria in the following paragraphs.
In Kenya, being a celebrity is no easy task. It’s understandable why rapper Khaligraph Jones wrote in his song Hao about how unpleasant Kenyan fans can be.
Khaligraph says in one of the lines, “Kuwa celebrity Kenya ni kujitolea/kuapologisia watu hujakosea.”
Mulamwa, a comedian, had just burned his comedy costume on claims of cyberbullying when Khaligraph released the song.
Generally speaking, Kenyans have some unspoken expectations about their celebrities.
One of these requirements is that the celebrity be of good cheer.
In the same spirit, if you are a superstar, your supporters anticipate that you will act honorably and refrain from constantly chasing clout.
In the same sense, you need to have humility and be approachable.
As a result, you must never treat nagging journalists and fans with snobbery.
In light of this, we have put together a list of Kenya’s most beloved celebrities.
The selection process was straightforward; we simply looked through these celebrities’ social media accounts and found they frequently got positive feedback from their followers.
Even when their followers criticize them, you can tell that they do it out of love, not out of spite.
So, how crucial are social media platforms? I can assure you that it is, and one can determine how well-liked or despised an artist or celebrity is by the comments left on their posts.
Here is the list, which is primarily made up of musicians, radio hosts, and content producers.
Please take note that many of the celebrities on the list are people who have made a name for themselves, are reliable, and have proven to be role models.
They are deserving role models and leaders who have sacrificed a lot in a bid to chart the way for those who come after them.
We adore some of them for the simple reason that they make us laugh and inspire us when we’re at our lowest.
