The police have launched investigations after thugs broke into Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji’s house in Riverside, Nairobi.
The thugs made away with electronics and personal effects during the Thursday, August 4 raid.
Taking to Twitter, the DPP’s office confirmed the robbery incident, further urging Kenyans not to politicize the incident.
The office also clarified that the stolen stolen property are Haji’s personal items, noting that the ODPP doesn’t collect or store evidence.
The stolen items include two Apple laptops, a 75-inch Samsung TV, a Sony PlayStation 4, assorted shoes and two bags.
“The DPP would like to clarify that there was a robbery at his RESIDENCE, not his OFFICE, & investigations are ongoing
“The ODPP, as a Prosecuting Authority, doesn’t collect or store evidence of any nature. Members of the public & media are urged not to politicize this incident,” the ODPP said.
