Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o are officially dating.
This follows the leak of beach photos of the couple in tight embrace during Lupita’s birthday trip to Mexico.
In the photos widely shared online, the two actors are seen at ease enjoying themselves in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Gotta News has since established that the photos were indeed taken during Lupita’s 41st birthday celebration.
The photos, whose origin is E! News, showed the couple in a convivial mood at one time, embracing each other by the seaside.
Some photos also showed the lovers strolling on the beach in their swimsuits.
The rumours of the two actors dating started in October 2023, when they were seen together at a concert by Janelle Monáe in Los Angeles.
At the time, the two were in the process of leaving their previous relationships.
Jackson, who is Canadian, was going through a divorce with Jodie Turner-Smith, with whom they share a child.
What’s more, Lupita Nyong’o had just shared about her breakup with Selema Masekela.

Lupita, an Oscar-winning actress, said he shared the breakup news on social media to show that life is not always perfect.
“I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.
I am tempted to run into the shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I have regained my strength enough for me to say, “Whatever, my life is better this way.”
But I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love.
And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass. The promise, they say, is that a tender heart is what gives birth to fearlessness.
I hope it’s true. I share this to keep it, and hoping that the knowledge of my experience might be useful to someone else out there experiencing the grip of heartbreak who is poised to try and escape from the pain and miss out on the wisdom that comes from it.
