Interior CAS Millicent Omanga has broken her silence after trending online over a ‘nude video’ claimed to be hers.

As of Monday evening, KOT made fun of Omanga for appearing in an unconfirmed video sleeping in bed while completely naked.

Internet users made fun of Omanga by saying that she was contributing to “uniting the country.”

The latter is a claim made by Kenyans online, who claim that when naked images or videos are posted, Kenyans tend to ignore political disputes in favour of the leaked content.

On Tuesday morning, CAS Omanga posted a message to her social media accounts suggesting that the video was produced by individuals wishing to damage her reputation.

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Luke 10:19. Blessed day peeps,” the message read.

Other leaders stepped forward to support the CAS, albeit in humorous fashion at times.

One of the first to defend Omanga was nominated senator Karen Nyamu, who claimed that the person who filmed the video was to blame.

“Yes I have seen the video mnanitumia. There’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of there. We have all been sleeping butt naked at some point what the big deal is!”

“The focus must immediately shift from the woman to the fool taking that video. Kwani wewe ni mtoto? What is your intention? There are women you can’t bring down. Shenzi kabisa wewe. Infact nimeskia wakisema anakaa fiti sana.”

Others, such as ODM Ward Representative Robert Alai, took advantage of the occasion to comfort CAS Millicent Omanga, albeit in jest.

“Pole Mhesh. Nobody should take such images in private moments. Not wise even if we don’t agree politically. Not fair to you,” wrote Alai.

Other reactions:

Hon Noah Kering: “Have a blessed day too Mhesh. As Kenya Kwanza, we made a promise to the country that we would go an extra mile to unite Kenyans; you have just delivered that. Congratulations boss.”
