Migori Man, 52, Dies After Night of Merrymaking With 24-Year-Old Girlfriend

A 24-year-old lady has been grilled by police officers following the death of a 52-year-old man in Nyatike, Migori County.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the man believed to be the lady’s boyfriend was found dead at a lodging on Friday morning, July 29.

The man identified as Naftali Nyandera was found sprawled on the bed at Lavanda lodgings in West Kanyarwanda.

His death came after hours of having fun and merrymaking with the 24-year-old.

According to the police, the man had walked into the room in the company of the lady and collapsed hours later after an action-packed evening.

The deceased’s body was moved to Migori Level IV mortuary, awaiting postmortem to establish the exact cause of death.

Police officers from Macalder Police Station acted on the matter.

As earlier reported on GOTTA.news, two men and a woman who are said to have booked one room in a lodging in Pipeline, Nairobi were later found dead.

According to a police report, the three booked a room at Chairman Lounge at 12:35 am and by 2 pm the following day they had not checked out raising suspicion.

A room attendant went to check their room but found the door locked from inside.

“She went to awake them but upon knocking the door to the room there was no response which prompted her to report to her boss and subsequently to the police,” a police report read. 

The police responded immediately and broke into the room by breaking the door panes.

After gaining access to the room, the police officers found the three lifeless bodies lying on the bed.

The police report indicated that the three were holding each other by their shoulders and had their lips intercrossed each other.

A source privy to the matter say the police are suspecting cult as the reason behind the deaths as there were no visible injuries or signs of struggle.
