Popular Maria actress Yasmin Said recently revealed why she is not dating, and why she is not looking forward to dating anytime soon.
Speaking during a recent interview with Daniel Ndambuki, alias Churchill, the actress said having a boyfriend at this time is not a priority to her as she is still a teenager.
Yasmin added that in her religion, Muslim dating is discouraged until marriage.
“Also I am a Muslim and in my religion, dating is haram. The right thing to do is to wait until you are married to your husband
“Having a boyfriend leads to so many things, it is all fun and games but you cannot predict the outcome,” said Yasmin.
This came weeks after the actress opened up on managing a hefty salary being among the lead actresses on the Maria TV show.
Yasmin stated that her mother is her manager, adding that she also controls her bank account.
“I started earning at the age of 18 and, at the time, I felt like I couldn’t handle such huge figures by myself. I needed some guidance from someone I trust,” she told Nation.
According to multiple sources, Maria actors were paid figures said to range between KSh 10,000 to KSh 20,000 per episode, depending on their specific roles.
Yasmin is also a brand ambassador for a leading noodles manufacturer in the country.
