A court in Buguruni, Tanzania recently sparked mixed reactions after dissolving a marriage on grounds that the couple failed to have sex for 21 years.
In the dissolution of the marriage between Rebecca Magaba, and Zabron Maselege, the court ordered equal division of wealth accumulated during the marriage.
A 10-acre farm located in Bagamoyo, two shops located in Bonyokwa and a tree farm located in Kigoma were given to Maselege, Daily Monitor reported.
On the other hand, Rebecca was given a real estate property in Madale, Dar es Salaam.
On why the couple did not have sexual intercourse in their marriage, Rebecca explained that her now ex-husband suffered from cryptorchidism.
Cryptorchidism is a condition in which one or both of the testes fail to descend from the abdomen into the scrotum.
Resident Magistrate, Mwinyiheri Kondo dissolved the marriage insisting that the couple is doing things contrary to marital expectations.
