Raila, DP Ruto Trade Barbs Over Jacaranda Chaos

Deputy President William Ruto and Azimio One Kenya Alliance presidential aspirant Raila Odinga have traded barbs online over chaos witnessed at Jacaranda Grounds.

The DP was presiding over a meeting at the grounds on Sunday, June 19 but chaos erupted over who to use the venue between the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party and Azimio.

The area MP, Babu Owino had earlier on Sunday claimed to have booked the grounds for a public rally later that day.

However, the DP dismissed the MP and asked his supporters to gather at the grounds after ‘church’ for the public rally.

“The Kenya Kwanza fraternity and the entire Hustler Nation wishes a blessed Sunday to all na tukutane Jacaranda after church,” Ruto said.

Following the chaos, DP Ruto has now accused Raila of hiring jobless youths whom he termed innocent and desperate to disrupt his tally by causing violence.

“Mr Kitendawili, the lord of violence, has done it again: Hired innocent, desperate and jobless young people, victims of his sabotage of the big4 jobs plan, to shed innocent blood in his eternal quest for power

“What a shame on fathers day Mr father of violence. Freedom is coming August 9,” said Ruto.

On the other hand, Raila was quick to respond taking issue with the DP blaming him for everything that befalls him.

He added that the second in command was making such claims to get sympathy votes.

“Mr Six months, for how long will you blame everyone for everything that befals you. It’s not okay to be rudderless, clueless and plan-less

“This country is slowly overcoming fraudsters and shortcuts that define your politics. Maliza uende. There is no room for sympathy votes,” the former Prime Minister said.
