Top candidate in 2019 KCPE Andy Michael Munyiri has revealed his career dream.
Munyiri, who scored 440 out of the possible 500 marks, revealed he wishes to become an automotive engineer in future.
Speaking while addressing the media after Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha announced the results, Munyiri noted that he expected to perform well in the examinations but never in his wildest dreams imagine he’ll be the country’s number one.
“I’m so excited. I never even expected that I would top in the whole country. ,” he said amidst palpable joy.
He further hailed his teachers for adequately preparing him for the examination.
He also cited the support from his parents – whom he also referenced as his greatest source of inspiration – as being instrumental in the achievement.
“I think it was the support from my family that made me keep on working hard. Whenever I didn’t get the marks I expected in class, I would still kept pushing harder so that I reach my goal,” he said.
“I’d like to be an automotive engineer; I’d like to deal with cars, especially the car engines.”
