France teacher beheaded for showing cartoons of Prophet Mohammed during class illustration

A French teacher who had recently shown students cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed was beheaded outside his school on Friday in what French President Emmanuel Macron termed an “Islamist terrorist attack”.

The attack happened on the outskirts of Paris at around 5:00 p.mnear the middle school where the teacher worked in Conflans Saint-Honorine, a northwestern suburb around 30 kilometres from the centre of the French capital.

It was reported that the killer shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ which is Islamic hallmark translating to ‘God is great’.

The killers identity is yet established but luckily he was shot by police as they tried to arrest him and later died of the severe injuries.

The police found an identity showing he was born in Moscow in the year 2002 but further investigations are ongoing.

The victim was a history teacher who recently showed cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed as part of a class discussion on freedom of expression.

A parent of a pupil at the school said the teacher might have stirred “controversy” by asking Muslim pupils to leave the room before showing the cartoons.

“The teacher simply said to the muslim children: ‘leave. i don’t want it to hurt your feelings.’ that’s what my son told me,” one parent said

According to his fellow teachers,parents and student the teacher was super friendly,super nice and super kind.

French President Emmanuel Macron vowed to deal with the terrorist accordingly for their acts.

“One of our fellow citizens was murdered today because he was teaching students freedom of expression,” macron told the press on friday evening, hours after the attack.

“It is a teacher that this terrorist killed because he wanted to destroy the republic…destroy the possibility of making our children free citizens.”

The President promised that he will not allow their extremists destroy the country while he is in power

Also the Education Minister in French Jean-Michel Blanquer joined in mourning the victim.

“Tonight, it is the republic that is under attack with the despicable assassination of one of its servants, a teacher,” jean-michel tweeted.
