Andy Munyiri, other top KCPE candidates to join Alliance and Pangani schools

Andy Munyiri, the top candidate in the 2019 KCPE national examinations has been selected to join Alliance High School.

Munyiri, a pupil at Damacrest School in Thogoto, Kiambu County emerged top in the KCPE tests after scoring 440 out of a possible 500 marks.

The other top performers, June Jeptoo and Onyango, who tied at 439 marks- have been selected to join Pangani Girls and Alliance Girls respectively.

Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha announced Monday, December 2 that a total of 1,075,201 out of 1,083,456 candidates got chances to join secondary schools.

speaking at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development in Nairobi, Magoha said he would seek audience with President Uhuru on the fate of average candidates in line with 100 per cent transition to secondary schools.
