Two suspects in the Westgate Mall terror attack that happened on September 21, 2013 have been found guilty by a Nairobi Law Court.
Mohamed Abdul and Hussein Mustafa were found guilty in the plot of the offence in line of antiterrorism, supporting the terrorist and possession of terrorist tools.

It was clear from the evidence that Mustafa and Abdul had a frequent communication with the terrorist before and after the attack.
The two defended themselves by saying they were only friend and there was no collaboration between them.
However the third person accused for the terrorist act was acquitted due to lack of evidence linking to the association.
Justice Francis Andayi who who made the ruling, declared Liban Abdullah free who had stayed behind bars for seven years.
“Considering the evidence, I will give the benefit of doubt to the second accused person, that the communication was done by his brother, it wasn’t a link for him to have conspired to commit the offence,” noted the judge.
Also Adam Dheq a suspect to the terror attack was set free in January 2019 after there was no evidence linking him.
There was tension outside Milimani Law Court and elite police officer were sent to protect the building.

The court is expected to give out sentence for each of them after they allowed their advocates to make an appeal.
