Natembeya disclosed that they have started going round the Rift Valley in such of contractors with the mentality of conning innocent Kenyans.

“We have a history where projects are seen to have been completed on paper but when you visit the sites, things are completely different. So when a contract is awarded, we are now able to monitor closely in order for it to be completed within the scheduled period,” he said.

The commissioner revealed that the monitoring team has checked over 1,200 sites in the region.

According to him they were so far satisfied with the progress with finding only few challenges.
