Tanasha Donna explains why she cancelled her Nai Fest performance

Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna has explained why she cancelled her scheduled performance at the Nai Fest concert.

Taking to Instagram, Tanasha apologized to her fans, however, promising to make up to them in the near future.

“Before I say anything else, I would like to first & foremost apologize to my fans for not being able to perform anymore at @the_nai_fest this Saturday.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, my team & I had to cancel the show. To my fans & supporters, Rest assured, There will be many more to come” she wrote.

Tanansha slammed the event organisers noting that it’s high time promoters start taking artistes seriously.

The mother of one added that artistes invest in their work and so their work should be respected.

“I believe it is really high time promoters & organizers stop taking artistes for granted & RESPECT THE CRAFT. We put in a lot of work, hard earned money & time in the craft & the brand.

“To my fans, I’m sorry to disappoint all those who purchased tickets on my behalf. I will be making it up real soon & more show dates will be announced very soon…” she added.

This came days after media personality and singer Willis Raburu disowned the Gengetone festival concert that was held in Machakos on Friday, October 30.

Raburu clarified that the photos showing him performing before a small number of audience were taken before the concert kicked off.

He also disclosed that artistes failed to perform at the event because the management failed to pay them as agreed.

“I went to the backstage and started talking to the artists. They told me they wanted to perform but they had not been paid the other half of the money. The rule for most artists is that you pay half (of the agreed amount) before the event, then pay the other half before they perform,” Raburu said.
