Msambweni Member of Parliament Suleiman Dori has been buried.
Dori who died on the morning of Monday, March 9, was laid to rest in the afternoon at his Gasi home, Kwale County in accordance with the Muslim rites.
The legislator who had been battling cancer breathed his last at 5 am while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa.
According to a statement by Orange Democratic Movement, the ceremony took place at 4pm.
Dori was serving his second term as Msambweni MP, having first been elected to Parliament in 2013 through ODM ticket.
Dori, an ODM die-hard changed tune in 2019 and joined his Malindi counterpart Aisha Jumwa in supporting Deputy President William Ruto.
Due to their rebellion, the two were on the verge of expulsion from the party.
However, Dori was quick to seek pardon from the party leader Raila Odinga.
