Fiery cleric Timothy Njoya has warned that clash between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto could see the country plunge into civil conflict.
Njoya alluded to the South Sudan conflict pitting President Salva Kiir and the Deputy President Rick Mashar saying it stemmed from similar personality clashes.
“I WARN President Uhuru and Deputy President Ruto of Kenya that their personality clashes are dangerous. The civil war in South Sudan started becos of similar personality clashes between President Salva Kiir and the Deputy President Rick Mashar. Please RECONCILE!!!!” wrote Njoya.
The cleric known for his fight against retired president Daniel Moi’s dictatorial regime recently said he was ready to reconcile the two Jubilee leaders.
Njoya’s tweet about the relatrionship of the two leaders attracted mixed reactions with some netizens saying Kenya was a country governed by rule of law and nobody could be allowed to subvert peace for selfish reasons.
Njoya’s remarks come days after lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi asked the two to mend fences to avoid a possible conflict.
