President-elect William Ruto has revealed details of his phone call conversation with outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a statement in Wednesday, September 7, Ruto said they spoke about the August 9 polls as well as the transition process.
“I had a telephone conversation with my boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta
“We discussed the just concluded General Election and the transition as envisaged by our democratic tradition and practice,” Ruto wrote on Twitter.

Ruto is set to he sworn in next Tuesday.
According to the Assumption of the Office of President Committee, the ceremony will be held at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, Nairobi.
“As per the law, this must take place anytime between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm and thereafter the deputy president-elect will also be sworn in,” Kinyua added.
The swearing-in day was declared a public holiday.
Head of Public Service Dr Joseph Kinyua announced the holiday, adding that a gazettement of the same will be issued later this week.
Judiciary Chief Registrar Anne Amadi will administer the oath under the precedence of Chief Justice Martha Koome.
Elsewhere, Uhuru recently visited Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance flag bearer Raila Odinga and his family.
The former Prime Minister was Uhuru’s preferred presidential candidate in the August 9 General Elections.
The outgoing Head of State visited Raila on Wednesday evening, September 7 at his home in Karen.
Uhuru was accompanied by his son, Jomo.
Other leaders present in the meeting include Siaya Governor James Orengo, lawyer Paul Mwangi and Professor Makau Mutua.

Raila’s brother, Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga was also in attendance.
