Eunice Njeri Slams Raila for Saying Kenya is A Secular State: ‘Antichrist’

Gospel singer Eunice Njeri has reacted to Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential aspirant Raila Odinga’s remarks on Christianity in Kenya.

Speaking during a meeting with Muslims on Thursday, July 28, the ODM leader said Christianity has been promoted more than any other religion in the country.

As such, Raila promised to ‘end it’ once elected president in the forthcoming elections.

“There is a colonial ideology in Kenya that elevated Christianity above all other religions. My government will end that. Kenya is a secular society and we will respect all religions,” he said.

Reacting to the same, Njeri slammed the presidential hopeful wondering why one religion has to be brought down for others to flourish.

She noted that it is impossible to stop Christianity.

“I don’t understand why one religion has to be finished so that others may rise, we have coexisted for all those years. What’s new?

“That’s as antiChrist as it gets, and the beginning of the end of time. Jesus is coming, what are you doing? Can’t stop Christ, 2000+ years and He is still winning and spreading like wild fire,” Njeri said.

Below is how Kenyans reacted to the same.

Anduru Njenga: Religion divide people. Africans should be Africans honor their traditions and unite. Love one another and work together.

Florence Wanjala: I condemn this. Kenya belongs to God. The fact that you are attacking Christianity spells your doom you have lost it.

Juli Et: And most of the semi illiterates wont grasp what he is saying. Watasema he is fighting churches. Raila is an Anglican and he is quoting something in the constitution that Kenya is secular in terms of religion. Atleast try and read to understand not to comment.

Kinyua Muraya: For those abusing Raila he said the truth. A secular nation means it neither supports nor opposes religion. So everyone is allowed to worship in any religion. You can’t call kenya a Christian nation when we have muslims, Hindus, and atheists.

Njenga Mwangi: Gosh people, let us read our constitution. Kenya isn’t aligned to any particular religion, we choose what we want to be, Christian, Muslim, heathen, traditionalists etc.

Kathuri Elija: The church and Christians in general should be worried of this mans presidency.
