Cecy Gaitho: Woman Troubled by Son’s Tragic Death Dies a Month Later

Gaitho

A Kenyan woman who has been struggling with grief since loosing her son about a month ago has died.

In June, which is about 49 days ago, Cecy Gaitho took to her Facebook page to announce the death of his son.

The young man died from internal bleeding after slipping and hitting his head against a culvert from an ongoing road construction.

Following her son’s death, Gaitho’s life was never been the same as she expressed in a post she made 40 days after her son died.

She admitted that her son’s death had hugely affected her life and she had nothing to live for.

“Today marks exactly 40 days since you grew wings. Nothing has been the same, the constant ache in my heart gets worse by the minute. I haven’t been able to come to terms with the loss and I keep looking outside, hoping you will come back

“Tears have become my daily food, the emptiness I feel is immense. We had our family dreams, just me and you. The better part of me died the day you breathed your last. I want to wake up beside you like you always did. I want to laugh to your jokes, smile at your brilliance and do the many things we did together,” she wrote in part.
