Drama ensued in Makueni town after students of Muiu Secondary school turned against their parents who were protesting.
Reports say the parents want the school principal to be transferred or removed from the school for reportedly chewing muguka with students.
It was also reported that the June 14 protest was fueled by cases of early pregnancies in the school.
“13 students were reported pregnant in the past year, and some teachers are in relationships with female students,” Mwatu FM wrote on Facebook.
The parents were forced to scamper for their safety after they were met by a hail of stones from their kids.
The incident sparked outrage from netizens who urged the Ministry of Education to intervene.
Rachel Ithau: Ministry should take action as soon as possible.
Mwendwa Wa Kathongo Kalawa: Parents cut the teachers some slack! Muguka is not bad. The bad thing is alcohol. Muguka brings material for education.
