Brian Mwenda’s father holds that his embattled son has a law degree and is a qualified advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

In a video shared on Facebook, the man who identified himself as Mwenda’s father said his son completed his law degree and a diploma from the Kenya School of Law (KSL).

“He pursued a diploma course in criminology that enabled him to join Strathmore University in 2017. He graduated in 2020. In 2021, he joined the Kenya School of Law (KSL), upon which he successfully completed his studies in December 2022,” he said.

Mwenda is accused of impersonating a lawyer, with the Law Society of Kenya maintaining the young man is a quack.

He said his son started practicing law in Meru before eventually moving to Nairobi.

“He kicked off his career by representing a family member in court. He made an application for appeal, but unfortunately, there was no response to his application. So, he has been working in Nairobi until recently, when he told me that some people were claiming that he was not a qualified lawyer.”

The man also sensationally claimed that, so far, his son has handled 26 cases and won all of them.

“This is a clear indication that my son is qualified to practice law. I have no doubts about him. He has also told me that these claims are not true, but we are leaving everything to the courts, but justice should be delivered to him,”he further said.
