Lawyer Miguna Miguna is at it again, this time putting Siaya Governor James Orengo in the spotlight over a supposed $5,700 (KSh 800k) shirt.
Miguna shared the post on X (formerly Twitter) that had Orengo in a unique shirt. He captioned the post, “Price of the shirt: $5,700 each!”
According to Miguna, the shirt is hand-made in Europe, hence the high price.
The lawyer also purported that the shirt was purchased from the proceeds of corruption.
The post generated mixed reactions, with some of his followers accusing Miguna of posting lies.

I’ve no problem with it as long as it’s credited on his personal account, but if it’s public fund i join you in condemnation

One of the netizens sought to know the price of the fiery lawyer’s signature cap.
Miguna proceeded to not only state the price, KSh 8,000 in Eastleign, but went ahead to roast James Orengo and his supporters.
“My hat is hand-knitted by Africans in Lamu and sold in Eastleigh. When I purchase it, I not only support our indigenous hand crafters; I am also injecting fuel into our economy. Orengo’s shirt is made and sold in Europe in Euros.
“When he spends such colossal sums on one shirt in Europe, he is supporting European economy. That’s unpatriotic. I’ve not touched the issue of corruption in Siaya County. You can now go ahead and drown in your stupidity!
But this is not the first time Miguna has questioned Orengo’s expensive taste.

In his book, Peeling Back The Mask, Miguna recounts how at one time Orengo (then minister of Lands) bought himself a suit worth KSh 500,000, two belts worth KSh 40,000 each, and a shirt worth KSh 80,000.
