The main suspect linked to Eric Maigo murder has been arraigned in Milimani Law Courts.
The court allowed police to detain the 16-year-old girl, who is the main suspect in the murder of the Nairobi Hospital Finance chief.
The girl will remain in police custody for 21 days as police piece together evidence to link her to the murder.
The teenager is being treated as the main suspect behind the murder of Maigo, who was found lying in a pool of blood dead at his home on September 15.
DCI detectives, acting on a tip-off from members of the public, apprehended the suspect from her hideout in Kibra on Tuesday, September 26.
The video of the arraignment sparked debate, with netizens questioning if she was indeed a minor.
Maigo was found dead in his house in Woodley on September 15, and postmortem results revealed he was stabbed 25 times.
An earlier CCTV video released by DCI showed a woman escaping from the home of the victim by scaling the razor-wire-fortified perimeter wall.
Earlier, the court freed Cynthia Lusego Andalo after evidence failed to place her at the scene of the crime.

Meanwhile, Nairobi Hospital CEO James Nyamongo has commented on Eric Maigo murder.
Nyamongo recounted his last moments with Maigo and hailed the late as a dedicated and dependable staffer.
He revealed that his final meeting with Maigo was on Thursday, September 14, where the late made an impressive presentation before the hospital’s Finance and Investments Committee.
They would part ways, and that would become their last meeting.
“It is very perplexing, especially to us, because I was the last person on that Thursday, which was on the 14th… I had interacted with him during our board’s Finance and Investment Committee meeting. We had made a very good presentation. I saw one of the ways he has delivered from a professional view.”
“We were to meet the following day, but that day never came, and it was really disheartening to find out the person I was with 12 hours ago was no more,” said Nyamongo.
