Wajackoyah, Runningmate Justina Wamae Clash over Raila Endorsement

Roots Party deputy president nominee Justina Wamae has disagreed with his boss, George Wajackoyah, on supporting Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate.

This is after Wajackoyah endorsed the former Prime Minister during his campaigns at an entertainment joint in Kisumu.

Following the same, Wamae vowed to support Deputy President William Ruto should his principal back the Azimio candidate.

“It is true there are allegations that my principal and party leader is supporting Azimio la Umoja candidate but we have not discussed that as a party, we have not agreed neither have I been consulted

“If push comes to shove and we need to take a stand on who to support, out of the other three presidential candidates who are our worthy competitors, then I will support the contrary,” Wamae said.

Following the claims, Wajackoyah denied claims that he endorsed Raila while campaigning at his backyard.

In the viral video, the Roots Party boss said;

“I am here to join the battle of liberators in this country and the person who makes me stand here is none other than Raila Amollo Odinga,” Wajackoyah said.

However, in a statement on Wednesday, August 3, Wajackoyah dismissed the clip noting that he was still in the presidential race.

He noted that his words were taken out of context, adding that the video is doctored.

“We would like to categorically state that we have a presidential candidate who is on the Ballot and will win this Election. We have not and will not endorse any other candidate
