Raphael Ssemwanga Junior: Zari Hassan’s second born son comes out a gay

South Africa-based Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has defended his son Raphael Ssemwanga Junior after coming out as gay.

According to the mother of five, her second born son was forced to make the statement so as to discourage women from seducing him.

Zari claimed that older women have been flooding her son’s direct message (DM) with nudes.

She clarified that Raphael has a girlfriend.

“He actually has a girlfriend amechoka na takataka kumtongoza DM. Wanawake wakubwa kumtumia uchi wao, wengine kuomba omba dollar. Maybe it was a good thing to say he is gay. Now you all will chill and leave him alone,” Zari wrote.

On Wedneday night, January 6, Raphael elicited mixed reactions when he revealed that he is 100 percent gay.

He also pleaded with her followers to desist from judging him.

Abigael Oduor: No parent will ever accept that his/her child is wrong never be against ur child once he’s /she’s wrong that’s onother way of supporting them

Aoko Otieno: Funniest thing I’ve heard today. If indeed he was coming out to keep older women at bay why would you tell us then. You are exposing him to those older women again, Zari is making herself look like a fool. Think twice before making some statements

Peter Muchiri: Train a child in the way he should go and when he is grown he shall not depart from it

Ouko George: The pain of a parent in denial. Being gay is not something that child can joke about simply because he hates old women as Zari is trying to make us believe. After all herself she was older than Diamond.and no one cared. Diamond didn’t say he was gay to keep her off. I feel her pain as a fellow parent of a teenager, but she need to take it easy. Denial will never change the child’s mind.
