Kenyan acclaimed musician Mejja has finally revealed why he turned down the Wasafi offer to collaborate with them in a song
Mejja said during a podcast interview that he aims at conquering Africa with his music

He added on that he wants to do it in a unique way that many people would not think of
“my dream is to capture africa just not the way everyone expects him to.” The singer said
Mejja confirmed he refused to do a collabo with Wasafi because of how they reached at him
He said that many people would have expected him to accept a collabo from the bongo star Diamond Platnumz
He said they really angered him and if it was eye on eye he would have punched him
“I really respect the wasafi guys and their hustle, but I feel like the way i was approached on instagram it is as if he is doing me a favour and that was on text now imagine if it was face to face? I would have punched him (laughing).” he said
He also disclosed that he received numerous calls from celebrities like Willy M Tuva who wondered why he denied a prestigious offer from the Wasafi

just the other day i got a call from willy m tuva because i refused to collaborate with guys from wasafi (diamond platnumz and his crew). he was so surprised that i refused to do a song with wasafi. i want to do things differently,” mejja said.
