Constitutional Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi threw a jibe at COTU boss Francis Atwoli while giving his two cents on claims the veteran trade unionist advises President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking during a virtual interview with Jeff Koinange, Abdullahi claimed that Atwoli is barely literate to advise the President.

“What advice can Atwoli give the President? My foot. He is barely literate. What advice can he give the President? Maybe crack jokes or throw telephones,” he said.
The lawyer also accused Atwoli of ‘killing’ trade unions by engaging in cheap politics further wondering why Atwoli was busy fighting Deputy President William Ruto and other politicians instead of bettering lives of workers he represents.
“What has he done for workers? He has killed trade unions. The trade union was a very important place clear of politics. What has he done, he left that and he’s running around peddling rumours as advice. Its unfortunate,” he said.
“A trade unionist instead of helping the workers in this country is fighting William Ruto and other politicians everyday, why doesn’t he perform his day job which is to be better the lives of workers he represents,” he added.
Abdullahi’s remarks elicited mixed reactions online and below are some replies to the lawyers remarks.
