KTN news anchor Ben Kitili and his muslim wife Amina Mude have separated barely two years after getting married.
Amina announced their separation on Instagram saying that she was grateful for the good memories she shared with Kitili during their marriage and their two kids.
“Ben and I are currently ‘separated’ I don’t know what the future holds but I’m grateful for the beautiful memories and definitely the beautiful kids we made. It’s been one month of pain and tears but I know that one day the light will shine,” she stated.
In a separate Insta-stories, Amina stated that there is no bad blood between her and Kitili despite their circumstances.
“Watu wa rumors please don’t start spreading lies. We are good. Am good. I will be better,” she added.
The two tied the knot in November 2018 amidst intensive bashing and criticism over their respective religions.
However, Kitili argued that religions doesn’t matter maintaining that God is more important than religions.
“In marriage, God is more important than religion. To those who are not so welcoming, we forgive you. You have a constitutional right to your opinion. However, should any of you cross the line against the law – as I said, I ‘ll protect my family with my all,” Kitili responded to the haters
Kitili and Amina got married at the Attorney General’s chamber and later held a private ceremony at a Nairobi Hotel.
