Drama ensued at the Homa Bay County after an MCA was stripped on Tuesday, August 18 when a fight broke out at the county assembly’s chambers.
The MCAs disagreed on a debate on the removal of the assembly clerk which later turned chaotic.

MCA Godfrey Anyango was stripped left with only a white vest and a black pair of shorts.
The MCAs turned against Anyango who is also the deputy speaker of the house for supporting County Clerk Daniel Kaudo to remain in office.
Reports indicated that, Anyango was cornered by a group of MCAs, beaten and stripped for supporting Kaudo’s retainment.
Anyango also questioned the validity of the motion given that it was tabled by a member who does not serve on the Assembly Service Board.

He argued that the motion was supposed to be presented on the floor by an MCA who sits on the board.
