Azimio One Kenya Alliance deputy president nominee Martha Karua has met with the comedian behind the viral ‘Haroo’ video.
The comedian identified as Joe met the aspiring deputy president during a video shoot on Friday morning, June 24.
In the video shared by activist Boniface Mwangi, the comic and Martha were seen practicing lines before the shoot.
The set included other actors who stood strategically while representing different professionals including nurses, chefs, police officers and construction workers.

“The Azimio manifesto has an agenda to turn work experience into certification. University of work experience will be certified and you will get a certificate,” Mwangi wrote on Facebook.

In the viral video, the content creator imitates how Karua speaks on campaign trails as she transverses through the country ahead of the August poll.
In this particular video, he makes fun of how Karua settles a wild crowd by shouting out ‘hello’ or ‘Azimio’ to get attention from them.
The comic uses the Kikuyu accent in the video to make it more funnier.
“Haroo? Haroo! Asmio, asmio… Raira ni msarendo,” the comedian says repeatedly.”
