The church organizing-secretary general James Warari who spoke with TUKO said that they are still trying to figure out how the thugs access inside the church.

The incident happened on Thursday night, we woke up in the morning and realised it was not there. It’s a heavy bell that weighs about half a tonne. One person cannot manage to lift or carry it, we suspect they were many thieves,” he confirmed when TUKO.co.ke reached out to him.

Warari disclosed that the church members depended on the bell as it reminded them of prayer sessions.

He said that bell was imported from their oversea headquarters.

We urge anyone who comes across it to or report to us or any scrap metal dealer not to buy it, return it to us or any nearby chief office or sub-county offices in Limuru. The bell was imported, and we cannot find it locally. It was brought to us from the church headquarters,” he added.

Warari also revealed that it’s not the first time the church is facing robbery. He pleaded with government to provide security for churches.

“This is not the first time the thieves are targeting our church; the other day thieves stole alter wines and other valuable things. The youth should look for other avenues to make money not crime” Warari said.
