Deputy President William Ruto has called for the end to Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke factions of Jubilee.
Speaking at ACK Kerugoya on Sunday, February 9 Ruto said that in order for President Uhuru Kenyatta to actualize his big four agenda the party should be united.
“As Jubilee we should know that unity is vital for President Uhuru Kenyatta to succeed in transforming the country and with the big four agenda,” said Ruto.
“We have said that there is no need for factions, we should all rally behind the president for him to fulfill his manifesto.”
The DP intimated that if the party is united then the country would move forward.
For the past two years the Jubilee party has been divided and the rift between Kieleweke and TangaTanga has been widening by the day.
In an interview with NTV last month Ruto admitted that the two factions have made things hard for the party as far as development is concerned.
He however affirmed that his relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta was solid despite the cracks in the party.
He further admitted the Handshake between Uhuru and Raila had weakened the party.
