A former Nation Media Group journalist Dan Otieno has died in a hit and run accident
Reports indicate that the incident happened along Waiyaki way in Nairobi

According to a statement by the police, the car that hit Otieno was heading to Kikuyu town at around 9 pm
The car drove off quickly after hitting the journalist leaving his body at the road hopelessly
The police told the media that they have started investigations into the case
“The body was taken to the City Mortuary. Investigations are ongoing to establish the identity of the vehicle,” Kabete police boss Francis Wahome stated.
The late was a former bureau chief at Kisumu and Nyeri
He then left that work and joined the media to work as a consultant and a public relations practitioner.
The media house has lost several journalists having Otieno the fourth person
Fellow journalists like Ken Walibora, Raphael Nzioki and Christine Omulando died in the same circumstances where they got hit and the perpetrator sped off
Ken Walibora was hit along Landhies road and died on spot on April 10
Nzioki’s death was also caused by a hit and run accident in the city center on March 7
