Two people have been confirmed dead after a light aircraft they had boarded crashed in Marsabit County.
It was confirmed that the pilot and his co-pilot passed away on the spot in the crash that happened on Saturday morning,March 20.
The two were identified as Brian Migwi and Brian Mureithi respectively.

The incident was confirmed by Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Director General Gilbert Kibe.
“Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) hereby confirms that an aircraft accident occurred this morning in the Marsabit Area. Kibe confirmed through a statement.
Armistice Security Consult International (ASCI) revealed that the plane crashed at Mlima Kofia Mbaya in Marsabit.
The aircraft’s registration number was identified as 5Y-JKN.
It was revealed that the aircraft departed Nairobi Wilson Airport at 8:20am and crashed at approximately 10:10am.
Police officers were informed and immediately arrived at the accident scene.

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID) working with police officers have started investigations to understand what caused the crash.
