The parents accused the administration of selling the school’s foodstuff and livestock, with the parents arguing that they paid KSh 1500 for school needs.
Witnesses said the parents stormed the school and slaughtered two bulls weighing 245 kilogrammes and distributed the meat equally among themselves.
They also sold the cart pulled by the two bulls for KSh 10,000 and shared the money among themselves.
The irate parents said the administration claimed to use the bulls to ease water carriage but they were still asked to pay for water services.
The parents also said that the school had sold other animals like the pig.
They also said that there were 29 bags remaining in the store since March but the school sold all of them.
Speaking on the matter, KNUT’s Meru Central Executive Secretary Caxton Miungi said the school sold the bags of maize in order to pay a school debt.
“I think there was incitement since some people were disgruntled for failing to secure the tender. They had gone there earlier and harvested the foodstuff,” Mr Miungi said.
