Taida Drucilla Mapara has been identified as on of the youngest geniuses in the world.
This is after the 14-year-old teenager enrolled at Malawi’s College of Medicine to study medicine.

Mapara’s ambition and dream is to be a cardiologist and it is slowly coming into reality.
The girl comes from a poor background but her exceptional intellectual abilities has taken her to high grounds.
Mapara’s parents are Ernest who is an engineer and Debra who is a primary school teacher.
In Zimbabwe, a student takes 13 years to complete primary school but Mapara only took 8 years.
She is the first born in their familly followed by her twin sisters who share the same capabilities as her.
The 12-year-old twins twins have skipped grade 2.
Debra discovered that her daughter was a genius when she home schooled her.
At the time, Mapara’s parents lacked money to take her to school and so they decided to school her from home untill they afforded to take her to Maranatha Junior School in 2012.
After a week, Mapara was skipped to grade 2 because she was so intelligent and a fast learner
The family relocated to Ghana in 2016, and again Mapara was taught from home for a month before joining a school.
She joined Ghana’s Association International School and in about a week she was upgraded to a higher level.
“Noting her intelligence, she was challenged to attempt the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in a year,” said her mother.
Usually, IGCSE takes two years to complete.
A couple of years later, Mapara took Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology at Hilbright Science College.
After some months, the college ruled that Mapara was ready for the next level exams.
She has now enrolled at the University of Malawi.
Mapara said that she happy to join the next level and excited to follow her dreams.
“Honestly, I am not sure how exactly I feel; I am anxious, grateful, frightened and excited at the same time. I am looking forward to the new challenge and I know it will not be easy. I simply have to brace up because this is now a different set-up altogether.”– Mapara
