The CS also announced that all schools will be equipped with thermo guns for temperature checks of all learners as well as people seeking to access the learning institutions.
Further, CS Magoha said that teachers will report back to school two weeks before the students so that they can be trained on how to handle COVID-19 related cases and how to use thermo guns.
“Every school will also have thermo guns for temperature checks… and also the government is developing a system where teachers must came maybe two weeks before so that they are trained on how to deal with COVID related cases and using thermo guns,” said the CS.
The tough-talking CS also maintained that each student will receive at least two face masks.
On Monday, June 22 CS Magoha said that 24 million face masks will be delivered to schools in August.
“Once we agree on the prototype, then we will get the pricing so that when schools open face masks will be in the institutions by mid-August as per the presidential directive,” Magoha said after inspecting the progress of manufacturing face masks for learners at Rivatex East Africa in Eldoret.
