Mombasa County governor Hassan Joho’s longtime friend Abdulswamad Nassir has become an enemy after leading a section of leaders in criticizing Joho.
The criticism started because they were not in accord with the KSh 6 billion housing project in Buxtone estate.

According to Mvita Member of Parliament there were dishonest deals and corruption in the project.
Nassir and his team decided for a suspension untill deep dig is done.
A section of leaders who stood with Nassir and supported him were Nyali MP Mohamed Ali, former Senator Hassan Omar, ward reps Charles Kitula and Faith Mwende.
Nassir also gave adverse reactions on Suleiman Shahbal who won the tender.
“We want honesty. If you’re a developer and you want to do business with the county, there is something known as conflict of interest.
“What if you want to be a governor? What happens then? The committee led by its chairman came to my office and raised pertinent issues,” Nassir stated.
The MP also inquired how citizens will be able to pay back the in repayment of mortgage.
Nassir who is aiming at the Mombasa County governor seat, reminded that the Mombasa resident wanted to prime concern when allocating the houses.
In the project, the are plans to build over 1900 units including schools and hospitals.

Nassir and Joho have been friends since 2007 and 2013 as they served in the parliament.
