Radio presenter Felix Odiwour, alias Jalang’o has come to the rescue of Kiss FM after musician Parroty Vunulu accused the media house of denying them an interview.
According Jalang’o, the station had booked Mejja for the said interview but Vunulu alongside One Boy and Kabagazi showed up without Mejja.

He added that despite Mejja’s absence, the show producer requested to have one person interviewed between the three due to COVID-19 precautionary measures.
The presenter further explained that the musicians refused as they demanded to be interviewed as a group.
“Parroty Vunulu buda wewe pia utawacha hizo. Theu booked only Mejja not you and the team. Nyinyi kufika Kiss mkaambiwa tunaexpect Mejja, mkasema hayuko.
“Mkaambiwa basi mtu moja aiingie juu ya Covid rules za Kiss, mkasema kama hamuingii wote interview ikae. Sasa unaenda kutukanana wacha hizo,” said Jalang’o.
On Thursday, October 29, Vunulu of upcoming gengetone group Wanati accused Kiss FM of discrimination after their scheduled interview failed to go live.
“I can’t believe our Kenyan media are still discriminating 254 artists. Just imagine Kiss 100 called us for a radio interview today 8.45 am only to get there and the producer told us that they only want Mejja ati sisi hawatutambui. Very disappointed by Kiss Fm. Kidole cha kati,” Vunulu wrote.
On his side, Mejja said that Vunulu had contacted him concerning the interview but informed him he will not make it as he was traveling with his kid.
“Nimeingia Internet nakuta Kumewaka moto. My side of the story ni I was called by Vunulu and I told him I am not available juu nilikuwa natravel na mtoi leo na hiyo time ndio alikuwa anapanga interview.

“No one told me walikuwa washacall Kiss 100. To me nilikuwa nime-explain Monday hivo. Cheki kitu inaendelea hapa ni breakdown in communication na emotions ziko high,” Mejja said.
