He explained that his comeback is courtesy of a section of his fans who invested their efforts and money to see him back on TV.

“For those who I am familiar to, I have missed you. I hope to see you soon. I plan to be back with a programme called The Second Act

“This has taken a lot of work. It is happening because certain people have put together time, money and efforts and want to see me back,” he said.

According to Otieno, the show will deal with current affairs including the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), the expected referendum and political intrigues shaping the 2022 General Elections.

Otieno also thanked Kenyans who contributed towards his medication when he asked for help.

“I must give thanks to you, the Kenyan because I reached out to the country and you came out with whatever you had and you made your effort because you wanted me back.

“I also give thanks to organisations that also came out to help me. There is the COGK (Cochlear Group of Kenya), it is through them I can hear,” added Otieno.

Otieno’s media career was halted in 2012 after being accused of being behind the death of one Kareen Chepchumba who was found dead inside his Kilimani apartment.

The journalist reportedly had a romantic relationship with the deceased.
