Former Sports CS Rashid Echesa’a tribulations are far from over after investigators from the office of the DCI raided his Karen home on the morning of Monday, March 2.
The former Cabinet Secretary has been on the spot light after he emerged as the prime suspect in the fake KSh 39 billion arms deal.
Drama unfolded after the officers jumped over the fence after they were denied access through the gate.
The sleuths are seeking to uncover more evidence as investigations continue into the deal that sucked the office od the deputy president William Ruto with revelations the office was one of the venues of the meetings surrounding the shady deal.
Echesa was arrested on February 13, just meters away from Deputy President William Ruto’s Harambee House Annex office.
He was arraigned on February 17 at the Milimani Law Courts and released on a KSh 1 million cash bail in the case he is accused of seeking to defraud two Polish arms dealers.
The investigators are yet to give an official finding on the raid.
