Now, the businessman has opened up about his relationship with God. He says it took months of pain lying on sick bed to realise that God is most powerful.
In an interview with Business Daily, the business mogul revealed he had come to the realisation that it was not by his power alone that he had succeeded in climbing heights which many find hard to climb.
“I’m closer to God now because I’ve believed without God’s will I could not be who I am today. It took me many months lying in bed sick to believe that God is most powerful, “ said Kirubi.

He however says, God is merciful and forgiving and one can turn to him for help anytime.
“And it’s a shame we always go to God when we need Him, but God will never turn you away because you came to Him later rather than earlier. God is merciful and forgiving.”
The industrialist is also endowed with a resilient spirit. At 79 and battling cancer, he still launches on to new tasks with ardour and alacrity of youth.

Kirubi disclosed he was building his dream house, adding people die the moment they stop pursuing an ambition.
On his cancer journey, he noted being able to access good treatment abroad could be the reason he is still alive to date.
