-John-Paul Ugwu, who styles himself as the “King of Polygamy”, delivered a compelling message claiming that his mission is divinely inspired.
A Nigerian man has stirred massive reactions online after announcing plans to marry 21 women, complete with a detailed age breakdown for each group.
“I am a polygamous man,” he wrote.
“I am destined and on a divine mission to marry at least 21 lovely women.”
Ugwu went further and revealed the exact age ranges he wants for his future wives.
According to him, 10 of the wives must be between 30 and 45 years old, while 11 must be between 18 and 29 years old.
He ended his post with a short call to action: “Apply in my DM. Bye.”
The screenshot of Ugwu’s declaration has generated heated debate across social media platforms and on WhatsApp groups.
Many users expressed disbelief, while others joked about the unusual recruitment process.
Some users expressed concern over his emphasis on age, labelling it as “unsettling” and “disrespectful to women.”
A few, however, defended his stance, saying adult women have the freedom to make their own marital choices.

The announcement comes weeks after Ugwu recently publicly hailed one his third wife.
“Happy birthday to my precious 3rd wife. You made my rare polygamous journey the envy of all. Since you came in, you simplified polygamy before the neighbourhood so that all the s¥ffering and smiling monogamous men in the vicinity are now dreaming of marrying more wives.”
“I am ready to marry up to 2,001 women once there is availability of beautiful souls like you.
On this day I have appointed you the manager of my multinational polygamous conglomerate.”
While polygamy is practised in several communities in Nigeria, public declarations of this nature often spark controversy.
