Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has heaped praises on retired president Mwai Kibaki as he marked his 88 birthday.
Nyoro hailed Kibaki for his meticulous economic planning and public debt management that saw the country thrive economically with good circulation of money.
He wrote on Facebook:
“The best President of Kenya thus far – Economically speaking. All action, no talk. The fruits of his great planning of the economy are evident to date.
I wish he became President earlier. Most assets the common Mwananchi have were acquired during his reign – economy was booming and velocity of money was high.”
The vocal legislator cited figures showing the current public debt under Uhuru Kenyatta as opposed to the 10 years of Kibaki presidency.
Kenya’s current public debt nears 6 trillion shillings as compared to 1.6 trillion in 2012 when Kibaki was completing his second term in office.
Uhuru has also been criticised for the wanton looting of public funds, unconducive environment for doing business and policies that seem to oppress the Small and Micro Enterprises.
